The Union Bank
THE UNION BANK
HOSPITALITY Project
The Union Bank, Orange NSW
This was Will’s last build before the team officially started to grow. Sarah (the new owner of Union Bank) approached Will about designing and building a couple of pieces of furniture for the redesign of the restaurant.
As with a lot of his builds, the initial design ended up being different to the
final product, with both the client and Will having a lot of input in the changes of the design features.
The style was classic and moody. For the wine cabinet they used black powder coated steel framing with
Tasmanian Oak timber finished with a dark stain. The sides of the cabinet are curved, creating quite the challenge in bringing the metal and timber elements together. The finished results are stunning.
The Maître d station is a beautiful welcoming desk made from Tasmanian Oak slats with a dark stain. Each one has concave curves which were milled and shaped inhouse. The design of the station is unique with a convex curve featured at the top and a concave curve within the front of the base.
It is finished with curved brass edging. Its unique design draws your eye and exudes class and elegance.
